The Marillion Night of 2023 in Freudenberg was a success!
Revisiting the whole history of Marillion music from 1983’s Script for a Jester’s Tear up to the most recent An Hour Before It’s Dark (2022) has been quite a journey for us, sharing the stage with the incredibly talented folks in Strange Engine.
Right after the show, we were having a tasty continental breakfast together and yeah, why not do it again was the common thought!
So here we are once more, ready to celebrate Marillon again in a very special way in 2024!!

THIS STRANGE ENGINE from Limburg has focused on the repertoire of the British rock band MARILLION. They are more than just a tribute band. It pays homage to one of the most influential British rock bands of all time. STRANGE ENGINE plays the very complex songs of Marillion's "new" Hogarth era with great enthusiasm and an unmistakable musical attention to detail. Many hits, milestones and above all the "secrets" of the role models from England around the frontman Steve Hogarth are presented in great detail. The band consists of 5 experienced musicians who understand their passion for the music of Bringing Marillion on stage with an unmistakable stage presence and incredible energy. THIS STRANGE ENGINE not only inspires fans of Marillion, but also those who are enthusiastic about good, spectacular rock music at an impressively high level.
MR.PUNCH pay tribute to the Fish Era of Marillion, complete with make up and theatrics in classic Fish style, genuine 80s rock. Born from the love of the band's early material, MR.PUNCH recreate the complex, intricate sounds of early MARILLION. As part of a 2-hour Fish Era setlist, we will play the Script for a Jester’s Tear album in its entirety to celebrate the 40th Anniversary and a broad selection of tracks from the first four Marillion albums, from the brighit singles such as Cinderella Search, Kayleigh, and b- sides...and who stalks the night! to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Script for a Jester’s Tear, a double album live set, playing also the whole Misplaced Childhood album. We’re organising some surprises of course also to celebrate the 40th of “Fugazi” in 2024.
